Fabricating Complex Composite Structures For ORPC's RiverGen Power System
Hawthorn Composites division delivers high value complex composite parts and is focused to work with the customer to engineer/reengineer how composite parts are made to drive down cost. We target using lower cost materials and processes, like dry carbon fiber, epoxy resin, and liquid infusion, combined with novel manufacturing methods, like Smart Tooling, to deliver equal performance and quality at a lower cost. In this video we will be creating Foils and Struts using dry carbon infusion on the foil and isotropic Qiso Fiberglas infusion on the strut.
